About Paula

Hello, I'm Paula,

approach therapy with curiosity, warmth, and the belief that our experiences make more sense when we look at the bigger picture.

I work with older adolescents and adults (16+), with a particular interest in working with women and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, burnout, relationships, identity, and major life transitions. I also really enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and autism-whether that has been part of their identity for years or something they are only beginning to understand about themselves.

My style as a therapist is warm, conversational, and collaborative. In our work together, we’ll make room to explore the patterns, experiences, relationships, and different parts of yourself that have shaped where you are today. We might notice what is happening in your body, explore the stories you’ve learned about yourself, or simply make space for things you haven’t had the opportunity to put into words yet. There is room for the hard and messy parts of life in therapy, but also for humor, creativity, and simply being human.

My work is person-centered and trauma-informed, with a feminist and culturally responsive lens. I consider the bigger picture—including relationships, family, culture, gender expectations, caregiving roles, work, spirituality, and the systems we live within. If faith or spirituality is meaningful to you, there is room to bring that into therapy in a way that is guided by your own beliefs, values, and experiences.

Depending on what feels helpful, I draw from IFS-informed work, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, narrative therapy, DBT, CBT, and creative interventions. Therapy doesn’t have to look the same for everyone, and we can find an approach that feels natural and meaningful to you.

Ultimately, I hope to offer a space where you can better understand yourself with curiosity rather than judgment, make sense of what you’ve experienced, and explore what you want moving forward.

A little about me outside the therapy room

Being a therapist is only one of the roles I hold in my life. I’m also a mom of two, a wife, a daughter, and a sister. Outside of work, I’m happiest when I’m making something with my hands or getting lost in something creative. I love knitting, reading and writing, painting, gardening, and generally finding new things to create. These parts of my life keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of curiosity, connection, and making room for the things that bring us joy.
